Ingjerd Sunde Krogseth.

Dr. Ingjerd S. Krogseth er seniorforsker i avdeling for miljøkjemi ved NILU. Hun er lokalisert i Framsenteret i Tromsø.

Krogseth forsker på hvordan miljøgifter oppfører seg i miljøet og næringskjeder, motivert av et ønske om å beskytte miljø, økosystemer, og mennesker fra skadelige forbindelser. Hun er spesielt interessert i nye miljøgifter som fortsatt ikke er regulert, for å kunne bidra til et godt vitenskapelig beslutningsgrunnlag for nasjonale og internasjonale miljømyndigheter.

Krogseth jobber mye med utvikling, evaluering og anvendelse av miljøgiftmodeller for økosystemer og næringskjeder. Disse modellene brukes i kombinasjon med faktiske målinger fra miljøet  for å forstå mer av hvordan miljøgifter transporteres til og havner i organismer og næringskjeder. Hun er spesielt interessert i miljøgifter i Arktiske økosystemer, og hun jobber tett med biologer og økotoksikologer på andre institusjoner i Framsenteret gjennom Framsenterets flaggskip for miljøgifter .
